Not to far from the Greater Bay Area lies the Southland Mall in Hayward California that had a Sears department store that opened on November 6 1958. This store closed in July 2020 during covid. Still abandoned with the signs still up as of 2024-25. (Credit: the store's Facebook page Sears Hayward)
